Job Description

•    Lead Demand Planning for all 4 brands across the business segments within the S&OP process.

•    Develop the sales & demand forecasts for all products to feed the MRP system which includes the development of a rolling 52-week forecast at brand, product line, and SKU level, with a high-level outlook of the next 18 months

•   Implement KPIs for the demand function including, but not limited to, Forecast Accuracy & Bias

•    Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to identify and incorporate market intelligence (events) into the demand forecast. 

•  Act as the liaison between sales and operations & have an understanding of both functions

•  Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data and build quantitative models of business problems.  

•  Analyze factors that impact demand: studying baseline, category trends, trade promotions, competitive products, seasonality, retail consumption, distribution channels, and leverage statistical models to successfully build a demand plan that quantifies the business environment.  

•    Lead communication of demand requirements to supply and financial team for production and forecast purposes.

•    Maintain reporting to the management team summarizing promotional trends, inventory levels, demand shifts, service levels, and all related issues that support key performance indicators, as well as communicate with our 3PLs
 

Qualifications

•   Willingness to flex between Sales and Operations as needed

•  Ability to pivot and manage numerous brands simultaneously

•    Able to thrive in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment with an ability to creatively solve problems. 

•    Deep understanding of the Supply Chain and Demand Planning process & the CPG Mass Market Retail Marketplace. 

•    Demonstrated knowledge of MRP processes and systems and the S&OP process. 

•    Exceptional attention to detail, follow–through and organizational skills

•    Strong quantitative and analytical experience including MS Office applications with a strength in Excel; Skilled in working with syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen), retailer proprietary POS and Trade Promotion systems. 

•    Clear and concise communicator. 

•    Detail oriented while maintaining a high-level business perspective.

•    Experience with continual process improvement methods with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis and take action to fix issues

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance or Marketing preferred with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the CPG industry with extremely strong Excel proven skills.
