Director (EX), Management Support Division (MSD), General Services Branch (GSB).

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior specialist and expert analyst for the Division and the Bureau responsible for providing guidance, advice, and leadership in the areas of security, emergency management, building/logistical management, and renovation.
  • Provides program planning, coordination, and advisory services for a variety of complex, interrelated Protection or Emergency Management issues/programs.
  • Develops and implements emergency management standards, regulations, practices, training, and procedures to identify, minimize, or eliminate hazards and threats.
  • Serves as the advisor for the domestic facilities and infrastructure program that supports the mission and function of OBO.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements, including education and any selective placement factors described below by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Experience analyzing and developing emergency management policies and plans, procedures, and long-term risk assessments.

2. Experience carrying out the full range of space management activities (e.g., preparing, interpreting, and applying working drawings, design specifications, and related documentation for renovations, office relocations and reconfigurations).

3. Experience implementing physical and personnel security programs and developing security policies and guidance in compliance regulations.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
