United by a mentor / protg joint venture agreement, Leopardo Companies and 5366 Logistics is looking for a Construction Site Manager. Construction Site Manager will be employed by 5366 Logistics overseeing the onsite work on a select range of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center construction projects from start to finish. Our joint venture is honored to serve our veterans and dedicated to providing the best experience in building and renovating healthcare, training, housing and support facilities. Together, we have the capacity and capability to manage multiple large projects across different project types, and general contracting services with an emphasis on U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs construction. Summary: The Construction Site Manager oversees preconstruction coordination and construction procedures to ensure that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Construction Site Manager is responsible for acting as primarily as Superintendent. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Planning Input for division 1 plans, Environmental Protection Plan, and Site-Specific Quality Control Plan for the project. * Schedule & Subcontractor Management A core duty for the Construction Site Manager is management of schedule & subcontractors in the field. This includes but is not limited to: * Lead team and subcontractors in expeditious execution of project schedule * Coordination with the subcontractors for creating and updating the schedule * Coordination with the facility management team for shutdowns and access * Verification that the as-builts are always updated and reviewed at the weekly meeting * Conduct weekly production meetings with the subcontractors * Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports * Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines * Close Out Process The Site Manager collects and verifies all information necessary to close the project with support of project team Leadership Competencies: Results Oriented Customer Centered Two - Way Communication Building Relationships Critical Thinking and Decision Making Adaptability and Change Leadership Technical/Functional Expertise Talent Development Motivating Others Company-wide Perspective Supervisory Requirements: The Construction Site Manager is responsible for managing the project in conjunction with other project management. Education / Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Management preferred * 5+ years of experience in vertical construction management, experience working on federal projects required, experience working on Hospital, Health Care, or Medical Facilities Construction preferred * OSHA 30 * CQM Certification or willing to acquire in the first 4 weeks * In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, project management principles * Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards * Good knowledge of MS Office, familiarity with construction/ project management software * Outstanding communication and negotiation skills * Excellent organizational and time-management skills Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license. The employee is often required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to travel as required. Work Environment: Representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally, or may frequently be, exposed to outside weather conditions. There may be exposure to varying degrees/amounts of heat, cold, dust, dampness, ice, precipitation and mud. Also, on a project site the environment is occasionally, or frequently may be, loud. The employee spends much of their time in an office environment, typically at a job site, either at a desk or meeting with stakeholders. Often walks around the job site where weather and conditions can reach extremes.
