Accounting Assistant-Halethorpe, MD About the Company and Opportunity: Our new client is family owned and operated and has been in the construction industry for over 20 years Due to growth, they are hiring an Accounting Assistant to work in their office in Halethorpe, MD. This person will work with a small tight knit team. Day to day tasks include: Routing mail Making sure supplies are stocked Full cycle accounts payable Preparing receivable invoices monthly Payroll data entry Working in Adobe to handle subcontracts and working with the project manager Credit card reconciliations Providing admin support Assisting sales team with data entry and working within their CRM (Pipe Drive) Working with vendors Answering emails and incoming calls Overview of the Accounting Assistant role: This position will begin soon after an interview for the selected candidate Position is in office and will not be remote Hours are typically 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday Pay:$24-28/hour depending on experience Ideal Candidate for this Position: The Accounting Assistant must have exceptional organizational and time management skills Can ensure accounts payable/receivable are accurate and current Willing and able to provide administrative support when needed Must be very detail oriented but also able to multitask Possesses strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills Has the ability to work independently and in a team setting Not afraid to ask questions Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Assistant: Intermediate Excel skills required Construction industry experience highly preferred Experience with American Institute of Architect (G702 and G703) applications for payments Experience using TimberScan a plus Degree not required, but is a plus
