POSITION TITLE: Graphics Technician TEAM: Manufacturing REPORTS TO: Vice President of Manufacturing POSITION INTERFACE: All Gable Teams FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non -Exempt OBJECTIVE To efficiently and professionally complete all vinyl work orders before their deadlines. To cut vinyl with precision, ensuring product quality and reduce material usage. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS * Ensure you are working in a safe appropriate manner at all times and wearing the required PPE. * Working the necessary hours needed to meet our customer's dates. * Positively support and work with other team leads as a team. * Support, maintain and build the Lean Culture at Gable. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Reading and understanding what is expected of a job upon receiving a work order. * Importing and sizing of files into Composer. * Setting up and running the Digital Printer. * Following a layout to place computer generated vinyl or full color graphic images on a predetermined substrate or medium. * Performing the allocated hours for each project. * Preparing substrates for vinyl application which may include, cutting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining substrates. * Laminating films or substrates. * Weeding excess vinyl from computer cut images. * Measuring pre and post production to ensure quality products. * Reporting inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the vinyl team leader. * Helping to unload raw materials to storage area. * Verifying proper procedures are being followed to maintain product specification within our quality standards. * Informing management of labor needs and/or problems related to production. * Maintaining cross team communication. * Complying with all OSHA and MOSH regulations. * Maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and disciplined work environment. The Graphics Technician must have the ability to frequently lift items weighting between 10 and 50 lbs. Additionally, twelve-hour work shifts are necessary in this position in which you must stand, bend, or stoop without relief. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job team member is exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the environment is moderate to high. Frequent shop noise will be very loud and protective ear covers may be needed. The required PPE must be work at all times while in the shop. EDUCATIONAL/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS * High school diploma or GED. * Forklift certification. * Valid driver's license. * DOT medical card. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS All prospective team members must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Candidates must also meet the requirements for an I-9, e-Verify.
