Hello! We are Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) and we are looking for an Junior Art Director to join our tight-knit, award-winning team. You are a creative thinker with a strategic mind with the ability to understand a brief, recognize the objective and develop creative solutions. You have the confidence to pitch outside-the-box ideas, but the humility to take direction and not take it personally. Were a team of big personalities but very little ego and we all strive to make the work the best it can be, together.As an AD, youll help to drive the visual approach of our projects forward, collaborating with other creative team members to develop and execute integrated advertising and content campaigns to change opinions about Fortune 100 brands, elect Democratic candidates and help issue-based advocacy organizations meet their goals. You will also:Develop on-strategy creative approaches. You focus on the idea first, then the execution and think through a campaign across all platforms.Develop campaign concepts, visuals, and spec work, under the direction of creative leadership.Confidently present creative concepts and rationales to internal teams.Support creative leadership in the development of innovative concepts including but not limited to graphic design, typography, illustration and film directionCome up with ideas to develop traditional and not-so-traditional advertising and content campaigns.Receive feedback with an open mind (and heart) and a willingness to keep pushing the idea further.Bully Pulpit Interactive is a modern communications firm that builds believers at the speed of news. A growing firm with offices in Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, we work alongside our clients to bring integrated communications and advertising campaigns to companies, organizations, and causes from strategy to message to media relations to marketing.RequirementsYou should consider applying if you have/are:3+ years of experience at an advertising agency.Portfolio demonstrating the ability to direct campaigns for clients in varying industries, including CSR, politics or issue advocacy, and understanding of craft in design.Award-winning work across integrated TV, OTT, digital and social campaignsA strong desire to do brand-building and award-winning work (do not be shy to brag about your awards!)Ability to juggle multiple projects, strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlinesWillingness to learn and passion for keeping up with new trends in the industry.
