SENIOR ENGINEER - HEALTHCARE GOVERNMENT CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMSSeeking a motivated Senior Electrical or Mechanical Engineer/Program Manager with years of healthcare/medical facility construction experience to join our team in delivering construction management services on a nationwide VA Construction Program. This role will collaborate with and assist VA client staff to provide data and generate reports on major healthcare construction projects.Responsibilities:Lead a team of professionals and act as the Owner's representative on programs from design through construction and closeout. This role will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry and internal company best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality and operations in the healthcare environment. This Program Manager will require experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals and experience as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). This role will be supporting traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.Pre-Design/Design Phasei. Schedulingii. Planningiii. Value Engineeringiv. Claims Analysis and Resolution ServicesQualifications:Licensing: Senior Architect/Engineer shall be a licensed professional (any state)Education: Bachelor of Architecture/Engineering (preferrably a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer from an accredited school of higher education.Experience: minimum of 6 years of experience in both design and construction with a focus on medical facilities.Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and masterRequirements of local state and federal jurisdictions in relation to the Project.Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting and scheduling to lead to the project's success.Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competency to supervise and manage personnel of diverse skillsetsPreference: Experience with Federal projects.
