Commercial Construction Organization has a new opening in their Marketing department! Their clients consist of many of the DC area's top companies so standards are high with close attention to the smallest details to enhance the customer experience ; meeting sophisticated expectations. As the Marketing/Proposal specialist, you will be charged with the following responsibilities :
  • Create electronic and hard copies of proposals using InDesign ; preparing formal responses to customer inquiries.
  • Supports the business development team by tracking opportunities in the customer relationship management (CRM) database.
  • Creates standardized and customized sales reports based on captured business development opportunities.
  • Prepares information and materials for business development sales presentations.
  • Updates team resumes for proposals and business development activities.
  • Creates jobsite construction posters to ensure they are properly branded and compliant.
  • Assists the Marketing Manager in executing marketing goals and initiatives.
  • Attends networking events to promote and identify business opportunities.
  • Assists with planning and executing corporate events.
  • Performs additional marketing and administrative tasks at the direction of the Marketing Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and work under pressure to meet required deadlines.
  • Independent self-starter and good listener who can discern required steps to achieve goals without specific task direction.
  • Thrives in a friendly, fast-paced, team-oriented environment where accountability, work ethic and a "can do" attitude is a necessity.
  • Demonstrated understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and approach projects creatively.
  • One to two years' marketing and/or business development experience preferred, preferably in the A/E/C environment.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office Suite.
  • High school diploma required, college degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
