Principal Risk Associate

As a member of the Controls Design & Governance (D&G) team within the Commercial Risk Office, you'll be challenged to shape risk mitigation strategy as well as evaluate compliance and operational controls. The D&G Senior Associate will be responsible for working with various Commercial Bank teams and Independent Risk Management groups to ensure that the control environment adheres to guidelines and standards, all while building lasting partnerships. You will guide how the Commercial Bank implements various control-related standards and identify solutions when challenges are presented.

Success in this position will rely on working with cross-functional teams, analyzing data, and building strong partnerships. The candidate should have a learning mindset, attention to detail and quality, and be able to develop communications tailored to executives. Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of risk experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • Risk Management Certification
  • Agile Certification
  • Process management or improvement experience or certifications such as Business Process Management (BPM) or Lean Six Sigma
  • Quality Assurance or testing experience or certifications
  • Experience with any of the following: control testing, regulatory testing, financial control testing such as SOX
