The Role: Looking for a highly motivated Sr Accountant with experience in full cycle accounting and financial analysis responsibilities. An ideal person has the demonstrated ability to interact both internally and externally to gather the necessary input to ensure the financials are accurately stated. This includes the aggregation and analysis of data, preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts, and other ad hoc projects. What You'll Do: Assist in month-end closing of the general ledger, focusing on G accruals and associated department P and other restaurant level expenses. Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned.Manage 3rd Party vendor and review reporting provided, proactively addressing discrepancies as they are identified.Effective communication with the business teams to ensure completeness of expenses for each period.Partner with the business teams as the business evolves to ensure accounting is abreast of changes to ensure the financial statements are accurate.Other ad hoc projects The Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.5+ years of similar, progressive experience in Accounting, month-end closing procedures, reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.Certified Public Accountant or current candidate for CPA exam preferred. Retail or restaurant experience a plusAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelRequires the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
