Are you an experienced Accounting Manager / Controller looking to join a rapidly growing manufacturer that is positioned as a first-mover in an emerging industry?! Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for an Accounting Manager / Divisional Controller for this company in the BWI area that is growing exponentially both organically and through acquisition. The private equity firm is investing in and aggressively building this parent company. This newly created, direct hire Accounting Manager / Divisional Controller position will manage a staff of four and will report directly to the Corporate Controller and ultimately to the CFO of the organization. This position will be based in their newly renovated offices in the BWI Corridor and have plenty of opportunity for advancement!! We are looking for someone who is efficient and well-organized that will bring those qualities to our high-transaction environment to help streamline processes and create efficiencies. The Accounting Manager / Divisional Controller is responsible for the integrity of financial reporting for multiple subsidiary companies including our largest operating entity. This includes journal entries, supporting schedules, account analysis, oversees all cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, reviews accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitors inventory levels, assists with product pricing, and more! Responsibilities include:* Month-end close for all subsidiary companies and presents monthly financial results to senior leadership.* Collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor; analyzes data obtained and records results.* Performs fixed asset accounting including depreciation calculations and subledger maintenance.* Daily cash management and cash forecasting.* Analyzes inventory levels, production speed and sales forecasts to determine reorder levels. * The ability to manage the inventory process and workflows so they that contribute to the financial success of the business* Ability to communicate financial results and goals across different disciplines* The establishment and maintenance of standard costs that facilitate accurate measurement of manufacturing costs and inventory levels* Building and maintaining strong lines of communication and teamwork across all levels of the organization* And more This is a critical hire for our team and will have a high level of responsibility and exposure to senior leadership and working directly with the private equity firm.
