The selected individual work alongside the client team to devise and deliver IT infrastructure, engineering, implementation, operations, administration, system integration, and maintenance services to successfully accomplish the mission of the existing multi-agency center within the Department of Justice. The affiliated program serves as a hub for technical knowledge management across the law enforcement community, making current and emerging technical capabilities more widely available at the local, State, and Federal level. The Software Developer shall have experience with SharePoint 2013 or above to include standard features such as workflows, lists and libraries, document management and web parts. Also, experience with SharePoint customization, including custom branding and navigation, configuring, and administering search, configuring site collections, and content type development, SQL Server, SSIS, XML, HTML and CSS and Visual Studio are required. Knowledge of networking, IIS, Active Directory, DNS & Window Services, and proficiency in PowerShell required.Responsibilities:Developing new website/functionality at the direction of the Senior SharePoint Developer.Performing Testing and Quality Control of NDCAC's internal and external websites while ensuring 508 compliance.Developing user roles as needed to ensure proper access to website information and tools.Developing and maintaining SOPs, procedures, and website documentation as needed.Implementing various authentication capabilities for site/portal.Providing helpdesk support at the Tier I, II, and III level.Troubleshooting the supported program's internal and external portal malfunctions to main functionality.Researching and implementing new web features and tools for authoring documents, managing the website, maximizing accessibility, and expanding online offerings.Monitoring SharePoint trends including, but not limited to, site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth.Supporting and maintaining software and database integration between SharePoint and the program's in-house application.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Active Top Secret security clearance.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science in a networkrelated discipline.Four (4) years of domain expertise in the following areas, including but not limited to: web services, data modeling, data structures and information architecture.Four (4) years of programming and modeling experience in medium sized SQL databases.Two (2) years of experience, or a very strong working and applied knowledge of Java, Java Script, C#, and C++ programming languages.Four (4) years of experience creating and maintaining deployed applications against a SQL database (SQL).Two (2) years of experience with query tuning.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Visual Studio, HTML, XML, PERL and shell scripts.Some experience with SAML 2.0 authentication in an ADFS/ADLDS environment.The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
