Job Details
Sparks Group has partnered with a financial services institution to seek a Consumer Loan Officer for a career opportunity in Washington, DC. In this role you will provide a full range of consumer loan services to members. Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of consumer loan requests
- Recommend credit union financial products and services to members
- Respond to member loan inquires regarding credit union services
- Provide service to members in the area of loans and determine members' needs and either transact the business or refer the member to the appropriate staff member.
- Advise members of additional lending options and alternatives, if available
- Complete loan documents and disburse loans, when approved
- Maintain member loan files, folders and necessary documentation
- Perform administrative duties associated with the Visa credit card program
- Follow up on automobile titles and insurance policies
- Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations
- Participate in employee education and cross-training
- Create and deliver reports as directed by management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of consumer lending experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing lending
