DCS is seeking a technical writer/editor to review materials for clarity, punctuation, grammar and content, and recommend changes to technical reports, information papers, and briefings for PM staff and products.

Essential Job Functions:

Review briefings, technical reports, information papers and strategic messages materials for clarity, punctuation, grammar and content and provide feedback.
Prepare standards and guidance to assist authors to develop content.

Review content of documents across products and staff to ensure consistent messaging.
Synthesize information from Subject Matter Experts to produce professional written content for information papers, briefings and strategic materials.
Work with technical staff to ensure accuracy of the information being presented.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelors and 8 years of experience.

Experience generating original products by synthesizing information provided by subject matter experts.

Experience working in as an editor and writer and should be able to understand basic technical concepts.

Experience with Department of Defense programs.

Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Desired Skills:

Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
