Principal Communications Associate, Chief of Staff Team

We're looking for an amazing communications specialist to join our team and support the comprehensive communications strategy for the President of the Retail Bank & Premium Card Products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the lead communicators and chiefs of staff to plan and prepare effective and engaging internal communications that educate, inform, connect with and inspire leaders and associates
  • Drive the communications strategy for our Businesses under Lia, supporting the Retail Bank and Card narratives
  • Be a creative storyteller to curate engaging experiences including executive gatherings, all-employee meetings, digital/video storytelling and special events.
  • Play an integral role promoting associate engagement, client awareness, and community involvement to help continue to energize the Partnerships culture.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the lead communicators and chiefs of staff to plan and prepare effective, thoughtful and engaging internal communications that educate, inform, connect with and inspire leaders and employees.
  • Shape communications in partnership with our external affairs team around corporate issues as well as opportunistic events that affect the company's reputation and ability to attract and retain employees.
  • Evaluate performance for communications, based on real-time metrics and other leading key performance indicators; recommending refinements to communications strategies, messaging and new feedback mechanisms, as needed, based on ongoing assessments.
  • Own an internal "beat." Research, compile and distribute relevant news through various internal channels
  • Partner with and influence internal partners as needed in the best interests of the business and its employees.


Here's what we're looking for in an ideal teammate:

  • Strong business acumen and customer-orientation and proven track record of collaborative work relationships.
  • Strong writing and story-telling skills with sound editorial judgment.
  • The ability to distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communications.
  • Experience managing issues, crisis communications and organizational change communications.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with an ability to consistently execute multiple, and sometimes competing, activities and complex projects to high quality conclusion, on-time, and within budget.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience or at least 3 years of experience as a communications specialist
  • At least 1 year of experience creating content on behalf of senior leadership
  • At least 1 year of experience implementing business communication and organizational change management strategies, plans and deliverables.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, English or Journalism
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services or technology
