Principal Associate, Paid Social and Digital Media Strategist

Capital One, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 best companies to work for" is seeking an innovative and data-driven Principal Associate to fill a high-profile position within the Bank Marketing organization to drive marketing campaigns, creative strategy and test and learn agendas primarily in Paid Social Channels. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, executing, and analyzing B2C Digital marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Lead our social platform expansion strategy to help us realize our ambitious account acquisition growth goals. Drive execution and analysis of the strategy and exhibit strategic thought leadership to help define where to go next.
  • Optimize multi-million dollar advertising budget to meet ROI goals and make recommendations for further expansion.
  • Analyze program performance, identify trends, and create opportunities for improvement while reacting to deviations from original plans quickly and strategically.
  • Brief marketing/creative teams, manage the various projects required, communicate with stakeholders, and infuse marketing best practices and new marketing technology and testing into the work to constantly improve and create best marketing practices for the organization.
  • Be the strategic lead, managing collaborative cross-functional teams (business partners, creative teams, legal, compliance, agency partners, etc.) to problem solve, develop, and execute strategy.
  • Work cross functionally with Data Science, Ad Tech, and Creative to develop and test new models, audiences, and messaging to further grow channel
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met

The Ideal Candidate
  • An understanding of direct response marketing channels and experience leading digital campaign strategy, execution, and analysis- especially in Facebook
  • Experience managing external digital marketing agency partnerships and leveraging that partnership to turn marketing strategy into in-market execution
  • Is confident interpreting analysis and structuring analytical requests in order to form a marketing strategy and approach
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with demonstrated experience effectively working with and influencing senior level and cross functional stakeholders
  • Thrives on collaboration, the opportunity to build in white space areas and the drive for results


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in digital marketing
  • At least 2 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs
  • At least 2 years of experience managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworks


Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
  • 2+ years of experience in Paid Social Acquisition or Growth Marketing leading Facebook
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • 2+ years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy
  • 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
  • 1+ year of experience working with marketing tech platforms, including data management platforms
