Responsibilities

  • As a member of an Agency-wide Task Group, plans, develops, or materially redesigns broad and complex national programs for the agency, such as managing changes to EEO and/or DEI program strategic plans.
  • As a supervisor, you will provide equal opportunity in all Federal human capital and employment programs.
  • As the supervisor, you will provide the strategic, administrative and human resources to subordinate employees including obtaining resources and identifying strategic objectives for the organization.
  • Coach staff and provide instruction in specific tasks and job techniques; evaluate the organization and employee accomplishments by accepting or rejecting work products.
  • Define jobs, select employees, and assigns work; define technical work requirements and milestones.
  • Direct and manage the mediation of informal complaints and other grievable conditions insituations with potential agency-wide or national impact.
  • Plan, develop and organize the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program at the Center to include efforts to promote inclusion as a core value within the organization.
  • Plan, develop and organize the Equal Opportunity (EO) Program at the Center to include efforts to resolve individual and systemic problems and manage changes to EEO program plans to resolve historically unyielding EEO problems.
  • Provide authoritative technical advice and counsel to top management, key agency officials, and other EO specialists and managers on conflict prevention, mediation, and conciliation matters, such as managing an EEO investigation and adjudication.
  • Supervise and control the work of the organization. Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the Office.

Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level developing, managing, and evaluating complex equal employment opportunity programs to include ensuring EEO compliance; processing and/or resolving EEO complaints; providing consulting services to management using knowledge of advanced EEO regulations, principles, and Human Resources; and developing and executing a high-level Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program at one location or regional level.
