The Loan Liaison plays an integral role in the overall experience our customers have with Apex Home Loans. As a customer experience leader in the DC Metro area with an average 95 Net Promoter Score (NPS), Apex Home Loans prides itself on a smooth and pleasant experience. Your day-to-day tasks involve being a trusted resource for new customers. You'll answer their questions, offer them advice, and most importantly, get them excited about their future in their new home! Along with engaging with potential borrowers, the Loan Liaison will also ensure a smooth transfer to the Loan Officer they assign the borrower to who will see the loan through to closing. Primary Responsibilities include: * Sourcing new borrower opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. * Working with available loan officers, informing them of the prospective borrower and their unique situation, and assigning the borrower record correctly. * Answer borrower questions and provide them with personally tailored advice based on information you gathered through your conversations and notes from their customer records. * Enter and maintain borrower information in our Customer Relationship Management software. * Develop borrower opportunities by researching and identifying potential borrowers through data-mining projects such as Apex's Rate-Watch and Mortgages Under Management programs. * Other responsibilities as assigned. * Minimum of 2 years related work experience or education in financial services. Experience or coursework in mortgage lending a plus. * Strong customer-centric mindset needed. * Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high call volume environment. * Proactive and creative mindset that desires to stay on top of available mortgage programs to improve the customer experience. * Working knowledge of MS Office Suite * Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software (ideally Ellie Mae products) * Willingness to learn and expand mortgage program knowledge.
