VP, Product Development, Value Based Care Opportunity.Create.Publishing.ThirdPartyJobBoards.MoreInfoModal.Title Opportunity.OpportunityDetail.PostedLabel : August 30, 2021 OpportunityDetail.CompanyInformation.Locations About the Role: The VP, Product Development, Value Based Care works in partnership with our physician leadership team and our growth/business development team and reports directly to the President, Value Based Care. This position is responsible for defining the product strategy, and managing the Products team to develop, launch, evaluate and provide ongoing organizational support for value based care product categories. Specifically, the VP is responsible for 1) Collaborating with strategic leaders to define a portfolio of clinical and operational products that drive significant growth and profitability, 2) Leading the products team to develop the categories of products, pilot, scale and implement them across the organization and conduct ongoing evaluation as to the success and/or improvements needed for the product offerings, 3) Work collaboratively with operational leadership as well as external partners (hospital systems, Medicare and commercial payers, physician groups and ACOs) to ensure products deliver improved patient care and outcomes while reducing cost to the system. This individual will support the President, VBC to successfully deliver on a value based care portfolio externally to our partners, while supporting the internal field operations team on execution and delivery. The VP Product Development, Value Based Care must have demonstrated success developing and launching clinical products, building and maintaining trusted relationships and leading through influence in a highly matrixed environment. In addition, the VP Product Development, Value Based Care will need to successfully manage external vendor relationships - hold vendors accountable to delivering on terms of executed contracts, and establishing partnerships with additional vendors who can further advance the goals of the value based care team. In this role, you will be accountable for: Lead product development strategy in alignment with business goals, desired patient outcomes and patient experience, and overall market opportunity to ensure industry leadership in VBC space Collaborate with members of the senior leadership and executive team, as well as growth and BD teams to determine requirements and provide direction to internal stakeholders (finance, IT, marketing, legal and product teams) Understand competitive market landscape and explore product concepts which not only highlight Sound's unique differentiation as a hospital-based physician organization but also can be monetized Build product development cycle processes and institute technology platforms to support progress towards deliverables Product Development: Establish structure and management processes for taking products through product development lifecycle stages - from concept to pilot requirements, launch and measurement, to market sizing, pricing and scalability, to full development, launch and evaluation Oversee key projects, processes, and performance through outcomes reports and data analytics Manage products team to effectively and efficiently lead products through development cycle Collaborate with finance to oversee monetization scenarios of products and collaborate with senior leadership team to optimize strategy balanced with time to market Develop and recommend budgets including resource allocation and utilization, technology and analytics needs, external, 3 party vendor support costs and any ongoing maintenance costs Team management and leadership: Build and lead strong teams to deliver on timelines and accountabilities; ensuring the team has the competencies, knowledge and support to meet the needs of the organization. Equally important is building this team while forging a strong culture of collaboration, support and teamwork Ultimately accountable for the diverse portfolio of products and the team which creates them - must be able to motivate and inspire the teams to build, develop and manage quality products Effectively work across functional teams to build strong partnerships, identify issues, overcome barriers and collaboratively work towards optimal solutions Relationship management: Negotiate and manage key vendor contracts to help support advancing the goals and outcomes of our value based care organization Partner with business development and sales teams as a product SME to support growth opportunities with all risk bearing entities both as an internal consultant and as an external member of the sales team Gain buy in from field leadership teams on pilot experimentation and support messaging to key impacted stakeholders through clear communication on expectations and impact. Complete proficiency with MS Project, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Impeccable project management knowledge and capabilities; meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills Experience: Minimum: 5 years of consulting experience focusing on healthcare operations and/or broad scale implementation experience Preferred: 7+ years of experience with a mix of consulting, operations and/or broad scale implementation experience. Relevant healthcare, Value Based Care and value based care exposure a plus. 2+ years Project Management Experience Demonstrated experience effectively managing projects according to timelines, achieving all milestones for deliverables Must be willing to flex "up" and "down" in responsibilities Experience working with CMS/CMMI programs a plus Strong analytical skills; ability to understand budgets and department financial management Other Details: Indoor office environment Travel 15-20% Sitting at desk for up to eight hours (w/breaks) Working on computer for up to eight hours (w/breaks) To be considered for employment, where permitted by applicable law (including any applicable reasonable accommodation, medical or religious exemption), candidates must be two weeks post full COVID-19 vaccination by start date.
