SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Systems Analyst / Engineer to join our team! The Systems Analyst / Engineer will assist in the configuration and management of the TIPERS (Technology Investment, Planning & Execution Reporting System) application. TIPERS is based on SimVentions Informedb tool and is being used to support all NAVSEA and NUWC Divisions and is currently being expanded for use within NAVAIR and NAVWAR. The Systems Analyst / Engineer in this position must have skills beyond the average. In addition to performing normal analyst duties, the candidate will work with Project Managers and Directors to bridge the gap between business objectives and technology capabilities. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, proven analytical skills, the ability to identify subtle or overlooked problems, and implementing solutions to prevent re-occurrence. This person must be a dependable team player with a proven record of bringing cross-functional teams together. Responsibilities: * Interface with NAVSEA HQ, NSWC, NUWC, NAVAIR, and NAVWAR personnel to ensure timeliness and meeting of program requirements. * Provide professional and informed inputs to program artifacts. * Provide helpdesk support to TIPERS users. * Utilize the TIPERS tool to manage user accounts, develop and maintain data taxonomies, create and manage role-based access rules, develop reports, generate training packages, and manage business rules. * Prepare and assist in presenting formal status briefings and training. * Assist in facilitating meetings, capturing minutes and action items. * Applies specific professional-level functional knowledge to solve problems. * Takes action to solve problems/issues that routinely arise in areas of assigned responsibility but may receive guidance or expertise from higher-level staff on more complex problems. * Assist in helping government client manage priorities, cost, and schedule. * Communicate customers needs for changes and/or enhancements to the Informedb Stakeholders and development team. * Provide testing support for new Informedb releases. Required Skills & Experience: * 3 - 5 years of related experience * Skilled in assisting customers with planning, execution, and management of project requirements * Possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills * Demonstrate a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite * Possess strong customer relation skills Preferred Skills & Experience: * Knowledgeable in common Navy processes * Previous experience with VBA / Office Suite macro development * Previous experience with database systems development or support Education: Bachelors degree preferred not required Minimum Clearance: Final Secret Location: Fredericksburg, VA Why Work for SimVentions?
