Job Description The Mandiant Security Validation division of FireEye is reshaping how organizations measure, manage and improve cyber security effectiveness. As a team, we obsess over helping our customers: Assess their current state and expose true security gaps Establish a means to measure security effectiveness and demonstrate improvement over time Realize the maximum potential of existing security investments Raise the bar for the entire security organization What You Will Do: Assemble and develop an advanced level engineering team to deliver rapid improvements to the Mandiant Security Validation platform Manage and provide technical leadership and research strategy for a mission-focused and high performing team of researchers and engineers Lead the development of research Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings Assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department or project teams Recruit personnel and oversee development and maintenance of staff competence in required areas May participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department. Qualifications 7 years of experience in IT 5 years of experience in Information Security 7 to 10 years of supervisory experience in software engineering Security domain knowledge in the areas of Encryption, SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management), Threat Intelligence, and Management of Security Engineers Experience applying technologies and scalable systems to solve security, detection, and research problems using the specific knowledge of Encryption, Malware Detection, and programming in Python and Ruby Demonstrated track record of building a strong core engineering team and engineering team management Experience with shipping high quality software in containers and system service environments Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and code velocity Broad grounding in all aspects of distributed systems development: OS internals and OS system engineering concepts, concurrency models, networking, board understanding of distributed systems concepts, and API development Additional Information At FireEye we are committed to our #OneTeam approach combining diversity, collaboration, and excellence.
