About the Company and Opportunity: Our client is a non profit who serves members of the community suffering from hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Due to a vacancy, they are looking to hire an AP clerk right away to work in their Baltimore office. There is free street parking around the office in Baltimore City! This is a temporary position Overview of the role: This position will begin right away after an interview Position is in office and will not be remote Hours are 9am-5pm pm Monday-Friday Pay rate: $17-19/hour depending on experience Duties of the AP Clerk: Processing AP including invoices and payment requests for data entry Maintain distribution tables for vendor payments Generating bi-monthly payments Prepare financial information and budget proposals Prepare general ledger and journal entries Call vendors for payments Distribute monthly credit card statements Process cash receipts Ad hoc duties as needed Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related is preferred. Can be replaced with 2-3 years' of AP experience Must be able to pass a background check and education verification Proficient with Excel Tech savvy- someone who is okay with working completely paperless
