What You ll DoAs a Project Engineer, Mechanical, you ll be part of our GTS team located in Towson, MD. You ll get to: Design Components for building prototype of power tools, applying DFM principles to improve part quality and costEvaluate the components through test or simulationAssemble the prototypes, develop test plans, and oversee testingConduct or guide structural /CFD simulation for power tools, evaluate the structural integrity and thermal performance, make recommendations for improvements based on the simulation results, and validate with actual testsWork collaboratively with product teams while managing tasks and support personnel to deliver to product schedulesBe Accountable for managing the design process and owning the results Identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce cost, complexity, and warrantyWho You Are You always strive to do a good job but wouldn t it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? You also have: An openness to relocate if not presently in this areaBachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in New Product Development or high volume manufacturing experience with BLDC motors is a plusComputer Literacy: proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, 2D/3D CAD (CATIA preferred), Demonstrated ability to dissect a problem to find the root cause, design a solution and create a simulation/test method to prove out the issue really is fixed.
