The Lourie Center seeks to hire a Head Start Center Director who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the Head Start Center Director, you will:
•Provide instructional leadership and direction for the early learning program
•Set and oversee the direction of the program and ensure that all preschoolers and their families receive high quality, comprehensive services that meet their needs
•Support teaching staff in co-constructing, researching, documenting, planning, organizing, implementing and advocating for children 3- 5 years old in a culturally responsive environment that is relationship based and rich in materials and possibilities
•Engage in a system of relational, reciprocal, regular data feedback and data utilization for continuous program improvement, to guide curriculum, and group plan decisions that impact children's and an individual child's school readiness
•Provide community of practices, reflective supervision, training and coach teachers in furthering their practice and implementing a curriculum that focuses on integration of Teaching Strategies GOLD which is aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and Maryland Early Learning Standards
•Support and ensure a continuity of care and primary care giving model to help children develop secure relationships and will Prioritize the health/safety and social/emotional well-being for children in the program and to promote a culture of excellence and family

Qualifications Include:
•Bachelors degree in education; masters degree preferred
•3-5 years of experience as a manage/director
•Experience working in the educational field
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
