Vice President, Product, Foundations & Data

Vice President, Product, B2B Solutions Foundations & Data

THE POSITION

Data is at the center of everything we do. As a startup, we disrupted the credit card industry by individually personalizing every credit card offer using statistical modeling and the relationship database, cutting edge technology in 1988! Fast-forward a few years, and this little innovation and our passion for data has sky-rocketed us to a Fortune 200 company and a leader in the world of data-driven decision making.

As part of the B2B Solutions team at Capital One, you'll be leading the next wave of disruption at a whole new scale. With over $3B in revenue, Capital One's Commercial Banking Group services a $60B loan portfolio for more than 6,100 clients. The Commercial Card business has experienced massive and rapid growth over the past five years, and is enhancing the presence of Capital One's B2B payments products across middle and large market companies nationwide. Our Small Business Card business is becoming a premiere franchise, in NPS and driving top-notch customer experiences with the Spark brand. The B2B Solutions team is committed to building products for growing commercial businesses, improving employee card functionality, and working closely with small business owners to create long term, meaningful relationships and better understand their entire B2B wallet.

We are seeking a critical VP Product leader who will oversee the data infrastructure and strategy for the Commercial B2B Solutions team. We are focused on transforming how we think about data, with an unwavering commitment to data ethics and privacy, and strong belief that we can leverage data to create value for our clients in ways we haven't yet imagined. In addition, the team has responsibility to develop and maintain our user management, authentication and product operations capabilities. This leader has the ultimate responsibility for developing and driving our end-to-end Commercial payments infrastructure and data strategy and partnering across the enterprise to exploit our capabilities. This role will lead a talented team of product managers, while partnering closely with our technology and design teams.

THE PERSON

Capital One recruits leaders with strategic, action-oriented styles who are gifted at building strong relationships across the enterprise, catalyzing change, and making great things happen. The successful candidate will have a passion around doing the right thing for our customers, ensuring privacy and transparency regarding our use of customer data, and knowledge of how we balance and infuse this into building awesome products for our customers. We are looking for an integrated thinker and a well-rounded product manager who can balance strategy creation with driving results.

You are a natural people leader, ready to develop a team of strategic analysts, process and product managers. You are the voice of the customer, hungry to understand their needs and instinctively able to incorporate customer feedback into the strategic roadmap. Most of all, you possess the highest ethical standards, accompanied by a balanced ego and unwavering integrity.
