You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the US as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Communicate with providers, patients, and pharmacy staff to obtain necessary clinical documentation, denial letters, and appeal status Utilization of and proficiency in multiple internal processing systems for record keeping and tracking of determinations Communicate with payors to obtain timely decisions on appeals You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High school diploma / GED or higher Licensed Pharmacy Technician in state of residence (or ability to obtain licensure within 30 days of employment) 1+ years of pharmacy billing and insurance rejections 1+ years of previous appeals experience 3+ months of experience working with internal software (IRIS, PAS, Navigator, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate computer skills (or better) in Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Excel (general navigation, data entry and sorting data in columns), Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills UnitedHealth Group requires all new hires and employees to report their COVID-19 vaccination status.
