Duties Summary This position is located in the Program Applications Division, Office of Information Security, Senior Coordinator for Security Infrastructure, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Department of State (DOS). The incumbent manages all aspects of the DOS exchange programs for the placement of cleared foreign government, diplomatic and military personnel within DOS workspaces, foreign exchange officer programs. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Ensures compliance with all laws, rules and regulations relative to placing a cleared foreign national exchange officer within spaces where classified information may be processed. Advises officials on requirements for requesting and placing a foreign exchange officer within a variety of established programs or in establishing a new program. Provides assistance on all matters that pertain to the safeguarding of classified and sensitive but unclassified material in the domestic environment. Assists with processing investigations and documenting security incidents. Compiles investigative summaries and generates adjudicative recommendations for consideration by the adjudicative authority. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. One year probationary period, unless excepted by regulation. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience implementing security policies for safeguarding security information. - Experience using investigative techniques to evaluate security program for system vulnerabilities. - Experience implementing programs relating to classification management and reciprocity agreements relative to sharing security information between various entities.
