Job TitleArea Marketing Team Lead, Mid-AtlanticJob DescriptionSummaryThe Mid-Atlantic Marketing Team Lead will be responsible for developing and executing all marketing initiatives for the Business Area and Regions, making sure that are aligned with the Corporate guidelines. Be part of the growth and the leader positioning of Axis in the competitive landscape. The person in this role will also be working to develop strong partner relationships and build an effective marketing team. Will also oversee effective use of the marketing budget. This will be an 80/20 player coach role.ResponsibilitiesWork independently and with the team to develop and enhance Axis brand in industry segments and key end customer segments.Develop and execute marketing initiatives including events, advertising, training and channel initiatives.Develop demand creation initiativesAlign strategic initiatives with those developed by Axis headquartersAchieve financial objectives by managing annual marketing budgetResearch marketing opportunities throughout security industryInteract with Sales, Business Development and Marketing team to assess marketing needsAct as a liaison for the business area and region publications and advertising campaignsAnalyze marketing automation trends in fine tuning brandTrack ROI of marketing initiatives and report the findingsCultivate marketing communications processes in the newly implemented marketing automation platformOversee and manage day-to-day operations of region's marketing teamMaintain marketing and Axis Experience Center Coordinator staff by recruiting, selecting, coaching, training, and managing employeesIdentify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure effectiveness of the teamChallenges and inspires team members to achieve business results and personal development goalsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededSupervise and support additional Area Marketing Coordinator(s) and Experience Center Coordinators with coverage as neededPerform other duties when assignedOccasional field work with customer facing sales team, to gather feedback on market needs and learn domain knowledgeEssential SkillsFocused independent drive and initiativeStrong communication skillsInnovative and creativeTrue project manager who possesses the skills to plan as well as execute marketing strategies and tacticsOrganized with ability to multi-task and prioritize workloadExcellent use of time managementEfficient Microsoft Office and graphics design capabilityOriginal and creative problem solving/confident decision makingConcise writing and editing skillsAbility to effectively work independently as well as within in a teamPrecise attention to detailAbility to effectively negotiateEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in marketing or related fieldChannel marketing knowledge3+ years marketing experience, preferred 2+ years in the security industryPrior experience building strong business relationships both internally and externallyPrior experience creating and executing coordinated channel marketing strategiesPrior experience planning eventsPrior experience managing marketing budgetValued but not required skills or experienceMaster's degreeExperience in security and/or surveillance industryExperience supervising employeesReporting to this positionMarketing and Experience Center Coordinator team of 2-4 members.Physical demands The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
