DescriptionAbout the Role:As the Vice President, Field Human Resources, you will develop and implement human capital strategies for the Total Wine & More Store Operations organization. You will provide thought leadership and strategic counsel to our Store Leaders and Executive team to implement our People Critical Priorities and ensure our business objectives are met. You will oversee a team of Regional HR Business Partners and support over 7,000 team members for a $5+ billion-dollar growth organization. You will report to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and be based in our Store Support Center located in Bethesda, MD. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy:* Develops and implements HR strategies to support the Company's long-term strategy and yearly key initiatives* Fosters and maintains a strong relationship with key business partners; Chief Stores Officer, SVP of Store Operations, Regional Vice Presidents and key senior leaders across the organization* Provides strategic guidance to address human capital issues affecting Store Operations and the field organization* Provides thought leadership and partners with business and HR leadership to address organizational issues affecting business performance* Stays current on all legislative changes impacting the stores and ensures the appropriate change management tactics are in place as best practices or policies are implementedTalent Acquisition:* Develops strategies and tactics to ensure the organization has the necessary talent to meet growth objectives* With support from the Talent Acquisition team, ensure business processes and tools are in place to enhance HR operational efficiency, enhance selection, and improve the candidate experience* In partnership with field leadership and HR Operations, ensures all new store staffing and training processes are in place to open our stores on time with quality talentTalent & Succession and Organization Effectiveness:* Works in partnership with HR Senior Leadership to design, develop and execute the Company's pay for performance strategies* In partnership with the Chief Stores Officer and SVP HR, develops talent development strategies to accelerate our talent pipeline* Identifies field talent gaps and works with senior leaders to meet business needs* Provides feedback and development opportunities for the Regional HR Business Partners.* Works with Chief Stores Officer to design organizational structures, roles & responsibilities, and HR processes that allow the Company to leverage our size and scale and be more efficient and effective as we increase store countTalent Retention:* Leads engagement strategy & initiatives in partnership with Chief Stores Officer and the RHRBPs, addressing identified opportunities* Assists the compensation and benefits team to develop progressive and pro-active programs that assist in attracting and retaining top talent* Designs and develops Employee Relations policies and procedures for the stores; analyzes adverse trends, and develops and implements programs/actions to ensure a healthy work environment* Works with leaders and HR team to look at adverse trends in turnover and develops and executes strategies to address issuesAbout You:* 10+ years of Human Resources experience in multi-billion-dollar growth retailer at a Director or above level* BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent years of experience (Retail preferred)* Ability to travel to stores up to 40% of time* Track record of solving complex organizational talent related challenges with a strong talent assessment and skill capability to help others grow their teams * Demonstrated agility and leadership in change management organization* Strong experience with job design, workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development* Strong talent assessment skills and ability to help others grow their teams* Demonstrated ability in developing diverse, high-performing teams in a complex environment* Deep understanding of the business you support including functional/operational knowledgeWe offerPaid Time Off (PTO)Generous store discountsHealth care plans (medical, prescription, dental, vision)401(k), HSA, FSA, Pre-tax commuter benefitsDisability & life insurance coveragePaid parental leaveCollege tuition assistanceCareer development & product trainingConsumer classes& More!Grow with usTotal Wine & More is the country's largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer and spirits, and we continue to grow our footprint year over year.
