Learn more about this agency ResponsibilitiesYou will serve as the Coast Guard's (CG) Human Derived Intelligence (HDI) Manager, with responsibility for addressing a wide variety of issues pertaining to the assessment of CG's capabilities, requirements, and policy compliance. This includes developing and sustaining architecture and policy governing CG's HDI program.Typical work assignments include:Providing program management and stewardship of the HDI program including observing and documenting functions; describing best practices; identifying the shortcomings of current processes, tools, and training; and evaluating capability solutions to meet program requirements and needs.Evaluating the overall effectiveness and adequacy of the CG's HDI infrastructure in light of changing mission areas and emphases.Developing, monitoring, and tracking metrics to evaluate the health and performance of the CG's HDI program.Researching and writing reports or other working documents on complex HDI issues, providing expert guidance and analysis. Serving as CG's primary interagency liaison within the Intelligence Community (IC) on matters relating to HDI.Collaborating with IC partners, CG Intelligence enterprise, other law enforcement agencies, and technical experts in order to identify new or improved capability solutions to enhance HDI tradecraft and mission execution. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.QualificationsAt the GS-14 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work such as:Serving as interagency liaison within the Intelligence Community by formulating specific strategies and actions; briefing top agency officials, service personnel, and other high-level political or policy officials; advising on topics within this assigned specialty field; representing top echelon intra-and inter-agency planning or work groups; and coordinating outreach to the Intelligence Community and government agencies.Providing intelligence expertise and recommendations on current and emerging HDI capability solutions and tools.Serving as subject matter expert with respect to the impacts standards, regulations, and policies on the HDI program.National Service Experience (ie, volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
