Our client is an Engineering Consultant in Columbia, MD. They are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. -Demonstrate the ability to coordinate design elements across various engineering disciplines with other project engineers for the development of plans, specifications, and estimates.-Communicate design progress with project managers and utilize entry-level design engineers to complete tasks.-Be knowledgeable on the design procedures or practices for the applicable client, as well as, maintain a firm understanding on the permit process for various permit review agencies.-Be the lead designer for project development including but not limited to: highway, highway drainage, concept design and analysis, horizontal and vertical geometrics, parking lots, site improvements, utilities, maintenance of traffic, signing and pavement markings, ADA, sidewalk design, bicycle facilities, etc.-BSCE in Civil Engineering or appropriate discipline-Six (6) or more years of experience in transportation projects-Registered Professional Engineer in Maryland (or ability to apply for reciprocity)-Working knowledge of Microstation and associated design software-Excellent written and verbal communication skills-Strong computer skills-Ability to work well within a project team-Ability to travel to project sites-Experience with Maryland DOT and Maryland County DPW projects is preferred-Have an advanced knowledge of engineering software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, InRoads or GEOPAK-Must have current PE licenseJob Requirements:-BSCE in Civil Engineering or appropriate discipline-Six (6) or more years of experience in transportation projects-Registered Professional Engineer in Maryland (or ability to apply for reciprocity)-Working knowledge of Microstation and associated design software-Excellent written and verbal communication skills-Strong computer skills-Ability to work well within a project team-Ability to travel to project sites-Experience with Maryland DOT and Maryland County DPW projects is preferred-Have an advanced knowledge of engineering software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, InRoads or GEOPAK-Must have current PE license
