Finsbury Glover Hering (FGH), a leading strategic communications and government affairs consulting firm, is seeking a Global Financial Planning Analyst to support the global finance team. This position is based in either our Washington, DC or New York City office.RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with the Global CFO, Global Controller and other Finance team members to compile information for analysisAssist in the preparation of monthly management and quarterly Board reportsAssist with the design, build and updating of a comprehensive global financial modelParticipate in the review and analysis of global financial reports and other financial information to assess and monitor the health of the businessPrepare summaries of global revenues and client level statisticsAd hoc financial analysis to help with decision making, trend analysis and development insights into business performanceTrack and compile qualitative and quantitative competitor performance information Assist with analysis of M&A and build vs. buy opportunities, including discounted cash flow models, ROI metrics and accretion/dilution analysesM&A transaction execution workAssist with maintaining the company's capitalization table ATTRIBUTESAbility to work independently, take initiative and handle multiple projects simultaneously; desire and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent Excel skills, including experience building integrated financial models and using advanced formulas / functionsStrong PowerPoint skills, including working with charts, graphs and tablesIntermediate knowledge of accounting concepts and understanding of financial statementsFamiliarity with valuation approaches and modeling returnsExcellent interpersonal and written communication skillsKnowledge of professional services businesses is a plusPrior work experience in FP&A, buy-side or sell-side finance, consulting or corporate development requiredBachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of work experience, MBA or CFA is a plus
