This requires a wide base of core technical knowledge as well as specialization in specific technology disciplines, but also a deep commitment to customer success with measurable outcomes.Job Responsibilities:The SSA provides senior-level Sales Engineering support through the creation of technical solutions that may consist of hardware and software products, professional consulting and engineering services, managed services and staffing. This includes:Meeting with customers to assess business needs and solution requirementsExplanation of solution architectures via whiteboarding, presentations and client interactionCreation of complex product solution configurations and associated Bills of Materials (BOMs)Detailed scoping of professional services engagements and creation of Statements of Work (SOWs)Involvement with professional services projects and managed service onboarding processesAssisting with customer satisfaction issues, technical problems and case escalation as neededMaintaining relationships with manufacturer engineers to stay current on product capabilities and to collaborate on customer solutions as necessaryAttend training and technical conferences to support ePlus partner relationships and to stay current on technology industry trendsMaintaining key manufacturer certifications related to personal technical specializations as well as company partner requirementsServe as thought leader in areas of technical specialization, supporting and mentoring other engineers and account executives as neededJob Knowledge/Skills:Professional demeanor with persistent customer service focusExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage multiple priorities with numerous daily demands for your timeCore technology knowledge:IP networking, especially QoS, COS and ToSSecurity fundamentalsModern application architecturesMajor operating system families - Windows, Linux or UnixHost virtualization - VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V or RedHat KVMPublic cloud fundamentals - Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud PlatformCollaboration-specific knowledge - should be subject matter expert level in at least 3 of the following:Cisco CUCM, Webex Calling, TelepresenceCisco Handsets, Analog gateways, CUBEs, and Telepresence endpointsCisco Webex Contact Center, UCCXWebex Control HubCisco Flex sales including Enterprise AgreementsCisco Smart Accounts for licensing and entitlementsZoom Phone, Zoom Meetings, Zoom Rooms including Zoom licensingRingcentral, Vonage, Intrado and UCaaSCCaaS offerings including Five9, Genesys, NiceInContactMicrosoft Teams meetings and TelephonyMS Teams direct routing optionse911 legislation and solutionsYour Corporate Responsibilities:Internal Control responsibilities vary by role and are subject to change. Please discuss your individual internal control responsibilities with your immediate supervisor on a regular basis.Handle confidential matters and information professionallyConduct business in a professional, competent and ethical mannerAdhere to corporate policies and proceduresPerform administrative tasks in a timely mannerEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in related technology and 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree in related technology and +3 years of experience preferredMultiple industry-recognized certifications, eg, CCIE, VCP, CISSP, etc.Physical Requirements of Position:Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time.
