Our commitment to helping anybody and everybody committed to realizing their own potential to grow.About YouThe Director of Product Development and Marketing, Haircare is a key member of the Product Development team overseeing the 3-year pipeline of product development for topical haircare products, reporting directly to the VP of Product Marketing & Innovation.The Director of Product Development and Marketing will develop a strategic roadmap for brand growth and will manage the end-to-end development and marketing communication with their team.This role will work closely with the Director of Product Development and Marketing, Supplements, and with cross-functional partners across brand marketing, supply chain, R&D, and scientific affairs and will manage the vendors and manufacturers for all new developments in an accelerated timeline.Please note that although we are remote, we prefer that this person be based in the tri-state area given the physical nature of our products and the current location of our PD team.Responsibilities:Work with the Vice President to define the brands product development and marketing objectives in topical haircare for strategic brand growth.Manage roadmap product development strategy to support the brand's strategic direction, including a focus on fast-growing categories and subcategories, hero products, and brand-building channels.Proactively remain on top of the fast-moving competitive and market landscape to identify key areas to win.Identify and execute white space opportunities based on findings from consumer insights, social listening, CRM data, and from other industries, providing input into the strategic development of the product development calendar.Lead the product brief process, working closely with the Science and Clinical teams and gaining approval from senior leadership to develop products with advanced technologies, the best ingredients, and unique points of difference.Ideate, prepare, and present upfront planning process documents including COGS, sales price, development timelines, and competitive reviews for leadership approval on product recommendations.Lead the launch activation with close collaboration with Packaging Design, Supply Chain, and Brand Marketing including a full Go to Market strategy that incorporates product messaging and naming.Identify areas of improvement for current products experience and continuously improve the packaging and welcome experience for new and existing customers.Requirements:Bachelors degree is required, MBA is a plus.8+ years of experience in product development in the beauty industry, haircare and/or skincare is preferred.Demonstrates ownership of programs, embracing strategic vision as well as excellence in execution.Must be able to build and lead a growing team.Must be a team player; possessing the ability to build and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of internal and cross-functional teams.Must possess excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and creative skills.Must be flexible and determined, possessing the ability to handle a multitude of projects and the willingness to put in the time necessary for success.Fosters an encouraging, respectful, team-oriented organization.Company Perks & Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision package, including FSA program.401K with 50% match.Flexible PTO.One-time allowance for home office setup.Two wellness breaks every day.Free lunch on us every Tuesday and Thursday via Seamless/Grubhub.Virtual happy hours, yoga, and meditation sessions throughout the year.Free meditation app membership (Headspace).Free Nutrafol subscription.Access to our in-house Naturopathic Doctors, including free consultations, gut microbiome testing, and Hair Mineral Analysis.Financial contributions towards WiFi expenses.Pet insurance and benefit programs.Additional financial assistance for employees who may have special circumstances or find themselves in an unsafe situation at any time.Additional discounts on shopping, entertainment, events, etc.by Jobble
