Position Title: People & Talent Development ManagerLocation: 1010 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20007 (Corporate HQ)Position Type: Full-TimeHiring Manager: VP, People & Talent DevelopmentPosition Description: Bluemercury seeks a Manager, People & Talent Development to support our retail team across the US This role provides critical support and guidance on employee relations, performance management, and company policies. As a business partner to our teams, you will collaborate cross-functionally to help identify opportunities in support of our growing business. You will also play a key role in talent acquisition.Essential Functions:Provides guidance to supervisors on people managementConducts investigations surrounding workplace concerns and makes recommendations based on investigation findingsSupports recruitment efforts including posting new openings, screening & sourcing candidates, providing talent recommendations, and managing the candidate experienceConducts exit interviews of Store Managers and shares back insights with leadership team (ie DM, RM, Chief)Makes recommendations based on trends and insights gathered through employee feedback and exit interviewsConducts interactive dialogues for reasonable accommodation requestsDiscuss return to work options with Regional ManagersProvides regular updates to District Managers and Regional Managers on federal and state specific lawsDevelops processes and systems to ensure legal compliance at the federal, state, and local levelSpecial projects as neededQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field4 years of HR Generalist experience with a focus on employee relations, preferably within retail industrySolid understanding of employment lawsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service approachAbility to manage business partner relationships, build trust and gain credibilityStrong problem-solving skillsDetail oriented, organized and strong follow-up skillsAble to work in fast paced, dynamic environment with competing prioritiesCompany Overview:Bluemercury is widely recognized as the nations largest and fastest growing luxury beauty products and spa retail chain.
