INTRODUCTIONUnder the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Employee Experience and Engagement will provide leadership of all human capital functions and strategy in accordance with the policies and practices of Unity Health Care, the ethical and social consciences of business, society and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations, and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. The Vice President of Employee Experience and Engagement will also be responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide Unity Health Care with the best people talent available and to position Unity Health Care as the Employer of Choice by being aware of policies, practices, and trends within community health centers and the healthcare industry.MAJOR DUTIESProvides direction and directives to the department staff in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities, and in achieving management initiatives.Streamlines business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department.Oversees the development and administration of:Benefits administration.Compliance and reporting functions.Performance management and organization feedback by enhancing and/or developing, implementing, and enforcing human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. In particular, manage the human resource information systems database and necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the corporation.Training and professional development.Employee relations and culture building by establishing credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.Employee recruitment and retention that includes developing programs to allow the UHC to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.Provides strategic support to executives and management in areas of:Coaching business sites/departments through organization, regulator and business issues; Coaching business partners to create and maintain a work environment with high morale and productivity;Designing, implementing, and facilitating management development presentations. Developing and establishing personnel policies and procedures ; Developing progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance, and to provide programs which utilize an employee and UHC partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees; Personally carrying out assignments of extreme sensitivity.Accomplishing special assignments at the request of the President/Chief Executive Officer, as required. Provides leadership and consulting support to UHC executives and management in translating the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in Human Resources or related field required.Five to ten years of related senior-level experience required, including the following areas: training, staffing, employee relations, diversity, and corporate compliance.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIRED BY THE POSITIONMust have excellent presentation skills, and be able to facilitate training classes.Thorough knowledge of human resources practices, procedures, and regulations.PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.Proficiency in MS Office software required.ADP HR Perspective experience is a plus.SUPERVISORY CONTROLSThis position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Vice President of Employee Experience and Engagement supervises Manager of Employee Relations, Director of Talent Management, and Director of Total Rewards and HRIS, Credentialing Manager and Director of Workforce Development and Training
