Scope & Responsibilities: Support the Treasurer, Chief Operating Officer, and Actuary Consultants by performing analysis of valuation and reserving, pricing, and product development Determine and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual reserve requirements; prepare actuarial portions of financial statements. Analyze economic conditions Forecast, assess, advise on, and plan for future risks Spread and Analyze financial statements; analyze financial information and comply with regulations Compile and review financial data; support annual external audit requirements Prepare reports and communicate actuarial technical work clearly to non-technical audiences that include senior management and the Board of Directors Education & Skills Required: Four-year degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field Detailed knowledge of statutory valuation requirements for life insurance and annuity products Four to seven years of actuarial and / or financial analysis experience with a life insurance company or consulting firm ASA Designation from the Society of Actuaries Individual life insurance product development, modeling, and financial reporting experience Attention to detail and strong math skills MS Office Suite proficiency, with solid Excel skills Preferred Skills & Experience Detailed knowledge of GAAP accounting issues Prior military experience as a service member or spouse a plus
