You can have a career here for the long term.About you and how you can excel in this roleThis is a key hire for our business and so to be successful in this role you will have excellent technical leadership, communication (limited public speaking, excellent verbal/written skills) and stakeholder management capabilities.Role Objectives:Act as leader of Wynnes engineering team, representing the face of high-quality design and development practicesDevelop high performing, scalable and innovative end-to-end web services and solutionsCollaborate with product team, software developers and testing team to implement and document solutions that are aligned with and extend our portfolio of platform services and solutionsWrite code that complies with company and regulatory standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the projectApply principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product quality, security, application scaling, good documentation practices, refactoring and testing techniquesSkilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.Ability to take ownership of medium and large sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members.Demonstrate the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.Foster team moral and motivation and encourage a culture of innovation focused on adding valueQualifications: 5+ years in an Engineering Director or equivalent role5+ years of experience working on a Legacy technology stack, examples: Power-I technologies (RPG,COBOL, RDi, ILE-RPG,etc), AIX, Z-Series, Oracle, etc6+ years hands-on experience designing, developing, testing and implementing the below technologies:SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) using Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, Restful, JAX-WS, and REST)Working with public cloud infrastructures such as AWS/Azure/etc (Services: Compute, Storage, Database, Load Balance, Elastic Designs, Analytics, Web Services, Messaging)Java, micro services and database systems (Angular, Java/J2EE, RxJava, Javascript, Springboot, MS SQL or similar experience, Dockers, Kafka, NodeJS, Java/J2EE)Understanding of functional and non-functional requirementsAnalytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
