Overview: GO Services, a fully-owned subsidiary of Gilbane, is seeking a Field Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing the field workforce, equipment, and site services within a defined geographic region, including staff coordination and workload monitoring. Positions are available in both New York City and Washington, DC. Responsibilities: Field Operations Manager typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:Manage staffing needs and coordination of labor as needs change within assigned geography, ensuring that manpower and resources are adequateResponsible for ensuring that all safety precautions, quality standards, and reporting are metBuilding and maintaining client market and union relationshipsCompliance with local state, federal, and union requirementsResponsible for the hiring/on-boarding and termination/off-boarding of staff in assigned geographySupervise and train workersManage and coordinate tasks according to priorities and plansProduce schedules, monitor attendance of crew, and sign off on time workedAllocate general and daily responsibilitiesResolve problems when they arise, including the administration of disciplinary actionReport on progress to project leadershipAssist with site service proposals, including staffing and equipmentProvide projections and estimates to project teamsOversee warehouse operationsInterface with client project and supply chain management teamsParticipate in financial and strategic planning and forecast meetingsEnsure full understanding of GO financials within the division Qualifications: In-depth understanding of construction principles and proceduresConstruction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of constructionExperience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost controlExcellent organizational and leadership skillsAbility to communicate and report effectivelyStrong problem-solving skillsWillingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuationsAbility to work in a team environmentComputer proficiency, including MS OfficeExpected to obtain or have OSHA 30 hour certification
