Job Description The Operations Manager oversees the maintenance, shipping/receiving, and production teams to ensure a high-quality product reaches every single customer. This person oversees daily operations and ensures that proper procedures are followed from receiving the product, through production and shipping. This person oversees new projects and improves productivity, quality, compliance, and safety of the production and manufacturing inside the company. Objectives of this Role Manage entire plant from receiving materials through to shipping Manage production managers, planning manager, warehouse manager, maintenance technician, and plant associates by proxy Ensure continuous improvement by increasing productivity and utilization throughout the plant Monitor operations and design ways to improve or perfect current practices and create continuous flow wherever possible Track KPIs for operations and ensure all teams are performing and reporting correctly Surface issues to upper management (reports directly to CEO) Sign off on production schedules Purchase new equipment, materials, and major repairs, as well as oversee their successful installation/implementation Oversee maintenance and repairs Promote safety procedures and GMPs Monitor and control costs to stay on budget and increase margins Work with production team to ensure compliance with standards set by auditors, stay knowledgeable on daily operations Perform time studies to improve efficiency Coordinate with R&D for all new product launches Establishes and implements policies, goals, objectives, and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Skills and Qualifications Highly Organized Great training and management skills Ability to instill Hierarchy Ability to create reports and communicate with internal and external teams Ability to learn new software/ERP experience Exceptional oral and written communication skill, and presentation ability Displays excellent leadership, Critical thinking, Judgement, and decision-making skills. Exceptional Time management and coordination skills Ability to negotiate Preferred Qualifications Education: Master's degree in business administration or a related field or engineering degree Experience: At least 5 years of senior level management experience Food business experience Able to speak, read, and write English Ability to speak conversational Spanish is a plus
