JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: The Digital Content Manager writes, collects, and optimizes customer-facing digital content. This position will be responsible for managing execution of the web content development strategy, product listings, and assisting in search engine optimization (SEO) on our website. The successful candidate will be extremely detail orientated, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and will be a self-starter. Organize, and communicate content offerings to key stakeholders. 2. Proofread supplier generated content and technical content. 3. Develop new and refine existing site content focusing on customers' needs, resulting in an improved shopping experience. 4. Liaise with Category Management, Marketing, Suppliers, and IT to build an integrated and customer-centric web experience. 5. Identify opportunities to improve scientific and technical content. Drive updates through content refreshment and new product development processes. 6. Maintain and update product digital marketing assets (data, images, videos, citations, etc.) for optimal SEO. 7. Leverage web analytics to track improvements, content gaps and opportunities for improvement. 8. Use voice of customer and digital marketing knowledge to make improvements to the customer experience and the presentation of content. 9. Curate content to be delivered in multiple digital platforms. 10. Check for, generate, and research limitations for keywords to increase traffic to the company website. 11. Produce content that is smart in its use of keywords or is focused on search engine optimization (SEO), resulting in better search engine indexing and ranking. 12. Create content that allows the site visitors to get the information they want quickly and efficiently. 13. Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Required Education and Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree required in English, Journalism, Marketing, Information Technology, or other relevant field. 2. 1-2 years of experience as a Content Manager/Writer. 3. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, with emphasis on Excel formulation (WordPress, HTML and Web Publishing a Plus). 4. Familiarity with web analytics and ability to retrieve metrics and create reports. 5. Adept at using Microsoft Access, ERP and PIM systems (Microsoft Navision, Salsify, OpenText). 6. Experience with scientific instruments, clinical laboratory and general lab consumable categories are a plus. 7. Understands SEO best practices and keyword placement. 8. Proficiency with popular content management systems. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation skills. 2. Keen attention to detail and a high regard for quality. 3. Able to build relationships, influence others, and work effectively with colleagues across multiple locations. 4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. 5. Ability to write creatively, apply, and develop specific content and keywords that drives engagement. Position Type: This is a full-time position. Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
