Summary

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,OFFICE OF ACQUISITION. As a Business Analyst (Business Systems), you serve in the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer. The Office directs and carries out procurement activities in support of both Bureau facilities in Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas. The Office procures all materials, equipment, services, Architectural & Engineering Services, and Construction.

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst (Business Systems), you will:
  • Implement policies and procedures related to business systems for Bureau acquisition programs, and establish guidelines to effectively carry out assignments related to such programs.
  • Perform complex and detailed analytical research on a variety of subjects related to business systems and acquisition planning.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed written information/materials/reports regarding the policy and procedures.
  • Develop new approaches/strategies for executing procurements and projects, identify opportunities for improvement of the procurement process, and provide input to management on the most efficient and effective means to make improvements.

  • SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation will be required for all new hires. The background investigation process conducted by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is very thorough.     Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
    • Experience administering automated systems and systems applications AND
    • Experience with information processing methodology, technology, computer capabilities and techniques. AND
    • Experience with federal acquisition regulations, OMB Circulars, and acquisition policies, methods, and business practices such as conducting market research, developing solicitations, analyzing item or work descriptions, knowledge of various federal acquisition clauses as well as pre and post award procedures.
