POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for an accounting manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with and oversee our financial accounting team.This position reports to the Director of Finance with a strong dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES:Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting departmentMonitoring and analyzing accounting data and assist in producing financial reports or statementsEstablishing and enforcing proper accounting controls, policies and principlesManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:omonth and end-year processoaccounts payable/receivableocustomer creditsoadding new vendorsocash receiptsogeneral ledgeropayroll and utilitiesotreasury, cash forecastingorevenue and expenditure variance analysisocapital assets reconciliationsoAP check runsofixed asset activityodebt activityosales taxesCoordinate and complete annual audits in conjunction with the Director of FinanceProvide recommendations to improve efficienciesImprove systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracyMeet financial accounting objectivesEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactionsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1.Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager2.Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases3.Ability to manipulate large amounts of data4.Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations5.High attention to detail and accuracy6.Ability to direct and supervise, but desire to work hard and roll up sleevesMust have excellent organization and time management skills.Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment.Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.BS degree in Accounting or Financeby Jobble
