For more information, visit www.nciinc.com . Responsibilities NCI: As the Systems Engineer V (Engineering Technician III ), you will respond to trouble tickets to resolve user problems. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. This position will be located in Quantico, Virginia. Relocation assistance may be considered. Highlights of Responsibilities: * Leads consulting services to members of professional staff and to the customer in the analysis and design data processing systems, management systems, scientific systems, and other related areas * Makes technical decisions on kinds of data to be gathered and methods to be used in data collection and analysis * Leads technical direction, guidance, and assistance to assigned projects, suggesting efficient approaches and methods for solving problems * Provides technical leadership for the integration or requirements, design and technology * Manages and ensures the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations and maintenance * In conjunction with system stakeholders, plans the verification efforts of new and unproven designs early in the development lifecycle to ensure compliance to established requirements * Supports the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes) * Develops analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solution * Prepares and presents written and oral reports * Prepares and presents proposals, or portions thereof, primarily in field of specialty * Analyzes diagnoses, and recommends solutions to complex systems problems * Serves as lead analyst for research project * Develops advanced concepts of automation and information processing, display, control, and transfer for various subsystems * Conducts research and analysis of algorithms and defines data structures that lead to highly efficient system design parameters * Ultimately responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility Qualifications Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree plus two years experiance in Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology or Technical Training in Information Technology, Network Architecture, Network Design, and/or Cloud Environments or have equivalent related experience. * Must have Sec+ CE Certification. * Must have (10) years of practical experience in C4ISR projects in support of Department of Defense (DoD) efforts. * Must have (4) years of experience, to include: installation of such equipment. * Must have (1) year of experience, to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings. * Must have (4) years of experience in in Marine Corps/Navy/DoD data center technology supporting implementation of hardware and software, and network architecture for build-out of data center discipline, of which 2 must have been performed within the last 3 years.
