WUSA-TV, the TEGNA owned CBS affiliate in Washington, DC seeks a talented individual for an Information Technology Apprentice position. This is a temporary/part-time 6-month position. Responsibilities: Assists Technology team with specific tasks as directed to ensure availability and operation of the computer network, servers, workstations, mobile devices, and associated equipment Works with IT team on troubleshooting, updating, maintaining and repairing desktop and laptop computers Under the direction of the IT staff, observes, participates, and assists with installation, configuration, and integration of computer systems including broadcast equipment Helps staff in triaging and assisting end-users with desktop and mobile device issues Requirements: Rising College Senior or Recent Graduate with a major in Computer-Science, Broadcast, or related discipline Strong basic computer skills and knowledge of desktop PC based systems and mobile devices Strong communication and organizational skills; professional demeanor Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamically changing priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working independently and relying upon judgement in carrying out responsibilities Some familiarity with standard office, editing, or television production systems and environments About TEGNA TEGNA Inc.
