ASEC Inc Description: ASEC is currently looking for a Systems Administrator to support a program office in Lexington Park, MD. The Systems Administrator works under limited supervision and direction. The latitude of their responsibilities is bounded by the complexity of the assignment. . Requirements: Education: Bachelor's of Science in computer science, Information Systems Management from an ABET-accredited institution or IA/CS technology field, in lieu of degree, 5 years experience as an IT technician on DoD classified networks is acceptable. Experience: Five (5) years or more of hands-on experience working with Linux. Five (5) years of experience as a computer/server systems administrator. Five (5) years of experience implementing operating systems and network devices security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides. Five (5) years of experience in administering boundary devices (ie managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems). Five (5) years of experience performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Soultion (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Contene Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks. Five (5) years experience correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within a network environment. Five (5) years of experience managing DoD Host-Based-Security Systems (HBSS), Five (5) years of experience managing campus-scale (multiple buildings, hundreds of users) server installation. Five (5) years of experience using the DoD Information Assurance Vilnerability Management Program (IAVMP). Possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level II in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, (ie GSEC, Security +CE, SCP and Vendor certification and IT Training Provider certificiate for network environment main operating system). Required Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
