AHC seeks to hire an experienced The Director of Accounting reports directly to the AVP of Finance who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the General Accounting Department. They supervise the accounting staff while ensuring all functions and procedures of the accounting department are running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring all tasks and projects are being completed as planned.

As a Director of Accounting :
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls
that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and liabilities are properly adjudicated.
• Responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensures that company financial records and reports are maintained in
compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
• Responsible for interpreting and implementing new accounting standards.
• Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company
entities; serves as the accounting resource for all departments in the
• Prepares and analyzes financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, statement of changes in net assets. statements of cash flow and
other statements as requested.
• Responsible for ensuring account reconciliations are being performed on a
monthly basis, with reconciling items being investigated and resolved in a
timely manner.
• Responsible for evaluating and tracking the adequacy of significant financial
statement estimates on a quarterly basis.
• Responsible for the proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules, which includes significant interaction with the patient financial services and reimbursement departments.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• At least 10-15 years of combined Public Accounting and Private Industry
accounting experience.
• At least 10 years of accounting management experience.
• CPA license required
