Summary

This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's (PBGC), Workplace Solutions Department (WSD), Facility and Services Division (FSD).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison and manage agency space utilization of over 500,000 square feet of privately and publicly leased facilities nationwide. Accountable for full lease administration, including rent reconciliation to protect PBGC's interests, value of the leasehold asset, and proper compliance with the terms of the lease.
  • Monitor and analyze levels of performance related to facilities and building management services. Ensure that space and building service needs are being met, respond to complaints, resolve competing requests for services, and evaluate and monitor the use of available space by occupants.
  • Generate, modify, and evaluate drawings, operate and maintain facility and space data in a computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system or an integrated workplace management system (IWMS). Serve as the subject matter expect responsible for designing, acquiring office modifications and construction project estimates, and delivering interior design and furniture modification services.
  • Manage multiple support services projects, programs, or initiatives. Ensure that policies and procedures are relevant and serve as the Contract Officer's Representative (COR) for various space and facility related contracts.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date.

Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the private sector leading, planning, communicating and seeing to the creation and delivery of interior architectural design layouts using a computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software such as AutoCAD.

EXAMPLES MAY INCLUDE: preparing floorplans, design and furniture specifications with cost estimates; conducting contract oversight; managing real property data; tracking and reviewing space utilization in a computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system or an integrated workplace management system (IWMS) such as FM Interact Systems; conducting business case analysis; managing all requirements for systems furniture, signage and related furnishings; and planning, organizing or forecasting for leases, space, and construction projects.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Referral: You will be assigned to one of three quality groups. Each group represents a quality level (i.e., Best Qualified, Qualified, Minimally Qualified).   • knowledge of architectural, building code, and space management techniques
  • skill in project management
