A growing broadcast and content media company is in need of a transactional corporate attorney with a general corporate and/or M&A background, along with excellent negotiation skills.This position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience working at a top-tier law firm or in-house, and strong negotiation skills. Experience in copyright law, content distribution and licensing is preferred but not required. Expeirence drafting complex content distribution agreements is preferred but not required.This position will be a hybrid of remote and in-office work. Some work will be in-office, so candidates must be in the greater Baltimore area, or prepared to relocate (a relocation package is available). Responsibilities:Drafting, analyzing and negotiating transactional and licensing agreements for different aspects of the company. Drafting, analyzing and negotiating affiliation agreements with the major television broadcast networks and carriage and distribution agreements licensing Company's content to MVPDs, vMVPDs and other distributers. Provide counsel on legal issues related to distribution relationships, including MFN analysis and complianceWork on license agreements for basic programming services, broadcast networks and local broadcast stationsProvide legal support and advice regarding distribution, as well as, participate in additional legal department initiativesMaintain a clear understanding of various rights issues related to the dissemination of content over multiple distribution platforms, including both traditional and emerging media distribution platformsWork independently and manage deals with minimal supervision while adhering to Company policiesRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
