St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is seeking an experienced, loving, and creative daily on-call substitute to work with children ages 3 months to 4 years in our Early Learning Center (ELC) and our Early Saints (ES) Program for three-year-olds. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated capacity to create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. Key Responsibilities : Successfully engage with children and foster physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development using sound professional judgment Provide responsive care to all children indoors and outdoors and adapt daily routines and lesson plans to meet the needs and interests of individual students as well as the whole group Participate in ongoing communication with parents and families Work collaboratively with the other ELC and ES staff Infant and toddler care in the ELC including diaper changing and feeding Strict adherence to all of the school's health, wellness, and safety protocols for adults and for the care of children Minimum Qualifications: Experience in early childhood education, including the care of children four years old and younger Strong interpersonal skills Strong desire to work with children ages 3 months to 4 years old Ability to pass a criminal background check Strong references who confirm the applicant's ability to consistently and actively exercise sound professional judgment Interested applicants can apply through the Employment Opportunities section of our website, www.sssas.org.
